Vice President and General Counsel of Georgetown University had previously served in the Clinton and Obama administrations. Brown has extensive public service experience, serving during the Obama administration as assistant to the president and personnel secretary, and then as acting performance director in the Office of Management and Budget. During the Clinton administration, Brown served as a career lawyer in the Justice Department`s Office of the Legal Counsel, and then became an advisor to Vice President Gore, where she also served on the board of the President`s Committee on Disability Employment. Between the two administrations, Brown served as executive director of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, and during the 2008 election, she became co-director of the Agency Review for the Obama-Biden transition project. Brown joined Georgetown in 2013 as vice president and general counsel, advising the president, board of trustees, and senior academic and administrative officials of the university. sits in the Office of the President; and mentors first-generation college students and students interested in law and social justice.
