NTT DATA Corporation (株式会社エヌ・ティ・ティ・データ, Kabushiki-kaisha Enu-tī-tī Dēta) is a Japanese multinational IT services and consulting company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It is sub-owned by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT). NTT DATA and U.S. IT services company Keane agreed to a merger on October 29, 2010. The acquisition is valued at more than $1.23 billion. [4] Following the acquisition of Keane Inc., NTT DATA became the 8th largest software company in the world with annual revenues of $14 billion. [5] [6] The acquisition of Keane Inc. in 2010 brought the Group`s total workforce to 50,000. That year, the company also acquired FirstApex,[7] expanding its commercial presence in the insurance industry.

Following the acquisition of Intelligroup, NTT DATA became the ninth largest software company in the world, valued at more than $11 billion. In 2011, the company acquired Value Team S.p.A., based in Italy, and launched Global One Teams. IT service provider headquartered in Plano, acquired Optimal Solutions Integration, an SAP service provider headquartered in Irving, Texas. In 2015, the company acquired Carlisle & Gallagher, Inc., a Charlotte-based consulting firm. [ref. In the same year, the company acquired iPay88 – Online Payment Gateway for Asia Countries, Malaysia[12], specializing in online payment services and payment solutions for merchants with multiple financial institutions as business partners in Malaysia. [ref. needed] In 2016, the company acquired the Dell IT Services unit (primarily the former Perot Systems) from Dell Inc. for $3 billion. [13] Also in 2016, the company acquired Nefos, a Salesforce consulting partner in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
